Tell us about your role at Fenix.

FIS is predominantly procuring raw materials and quality control. We source materials for sample proposals from yarn manufacturers and trading companies, and when an order is placed, we coordinate and adjust the work flow between the material manufacturer and the factory as for mass production, delivery dates, and yarn quality control.

Production problems can be down to a series of causes, e.g., machine malfunctions, process hiccups. raw materials imperfections: know-how and experience are key to find a smooth solution, as there is no space for improvisation.

Threads cause nearly half of the production troubles, hence if we can reduce them, we can help to improve the factory productivity and cost effectiveness: this is my direct contribution to Fenix's competitiveness.

I think about improvement measures every day, I find exciting to discover new materials and fabric and exhilarating to imagine how to use them.

Please tell us what you want to challenge and what you are aiming for in your position.

Currently, my main task to collect information on materials and to respond to problems, but in the future I will propose new materials myself so to pick up any innovation coming from a fast evolving markets where trends and directions are becoming more and more fragmented.

I also believe that our team should establish a more proactive relationship with Fenix Tokyo, not only waiting for their instructions or problems-related queries. The same applies to material manufacturers and trading companies: I would like to strengthen my information gathering activity for myself rather regardless of third-parties requests. .Furthermore, as an independent entity, I trust we should take more and more orders from other companies than Fenix as a wider client portfolio will be indirectly beneficial to the Fenix Group too. My goal is actually to create a yarn trading company.

Please tell us what you are trying to do outside of work, what you are looking forward to, and your hobbies.

Whilst I believe that time off is important, I often get caught up between things that i could not complete last week and the planning for the next.

Still, when I have time, I like to cook at home. My wife praises me for making delicious food so I'm happy about that. Besides, I find badminton quite relaxing, even on a mobile game app.
